SEASON OF ADVENT
This is the first season of the church’s liturgical year, beginning on the fourth Sunday before Christmas and running until the first Eucharist of Christmas. Advent is a season of preparation for remembering Christ’s incarnation at Christmas and for the fulfillment of this promise to return in power and great glory.
The liturgical color is purple or blue.
