PALM SUNDAY

In the Episcopal Church, Palm Sunday covers a lot of ground! Our readings are packed full of drama as we head into the most potent week of our church year.
As happens in human communities, the crowd starts off with a hero's welcome for Jesus, and then, as we move deeper into the service, their hearts turn a full 180 degrees. These layers of story continue to unfold as we walk the path of Holy Week, and invite us to honestly examine our own humanity, as well as meditate on the profound faithfulness of Jesus.

The liturgical color is purple.
